We were fortunate enough to be able to shoot the pre existing Western sets and amazing landscapes. My job was to modify what was there and add touches of modern day south africa, interpreted in a classic western style. We created the town of “Harmony”.  We tried to add subtle details into each frame that south africans could relate to and could push the gag. There is an 8 seater horse cart which is meant to mimic a mini van taxi. We added fruit sellers, south african style barber art and a “muti” seller.

The chicken licken saloon at the end was “made over” by my team. We took details and colours from current stores and incorporated them into the design for both the exterior and interior. It was incredible project to be a part of and was blown away by the Spanish team.

*The set dec on my team got stung by a scorpion so that’s what I called him from day 2, he only spoke Spanish, I hope he was ok with it.
