Shot in Studio in Jo’burg, South Africa.

The interior AND exterior house are built in studio. This allowed us to control the weather effects, shoot day for night and allowed us to create the correct geography for the scene to play out and the rat to be added in post.

*The car in the opening scene broke down at the studio door, we pushed in into place!

*We used a badly taxi dermied squirrel as a stand in rat – I flew with it from Cape Town in my hand luggage, the funny thing is that’s not the weirdest thing Ive been through security with.
